DeMarco Murray is yet another example of why it doesn't make sense, in most cases, to pay a ton of money to a free-agent running back.
Murray hasn't had a great first season with the Philadelphia Eagles, a year after winning NFL offensive player of the year with the Dallas Cowboys. He is averaging just 3.5 yards per carry, and on Sunday the Eagles' $42 million back barely played.
Murray got 14 snaps in a win over the New England Patriots. Chip Kelly said after the game the lack of playing time was because New England has a "big group of linebackers," according to Philly.
