The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in New York yesterday allowed a joint request to expedite the appeals process. However, oral arguments “shall be heard as early as the week of February 1, 2016,” according to a court order released yesterday.
The Super Bowl will be played Feb. 7, 2016. Even if oral arguments are heard the week of Feb. 1, it would be unprecedented for a federal appeals court to render a decision that quickly.
