For a couple years, the University of Florida was a key pipeline for talent for Bill Belichick and the Patriots. With the Brandon Spikes and Aaron Hernandez picks seemingly working out early on, it made sense for the Patriots to keep going back to that well.
Now, it's about time the Patriots put some caution tape up around Gainesville and burn all of their scouting reports on current Gators. With the recent release of Dominique Easley, ugly departure of Spikes and Hernandez's horrifying off-field actions, the opinion of Florida players has gone south in New England. And that's not even factoring in the busts.
