In the past 24 hours, three high-profile sports media Twitter accounts -- Deadspin, Barstool Sports and SB Nation's GIF account -- were mysteriously suspended. Now, all fingers are pointing at Roger Goodell and the NFL, who is believed to have levied its strict video policies toward shutting down accounts who regularly distribute footage of games over social media.
The timing of the first suspensions (Deadspin and SB Nation GIF first went down Monday night) let to speculation that the MLB was cracking down on the distribution of playoff highlights. However, reports soon emerged that it was the NFL that had come down on the accounts.
