The latest on David Andrews: Among the many pieces of bad news for Patriots fans during the 30-13 loss against the 49ers in Sunday was an injury to team captain and starting center David Andrews.

Andrews, 32, suffered a shoulder injury in the first quarter and did not return. Per multiple reports, the longtime Patriot is now likely heading for a surgery that could end his season.

Initially, a Wednesday morning report from Mark Daniels of MassLive noted that the offensive lineman faces a choice: Get surgery to fix his shoulder now and miss the rest of the 2024 season, or wait and try to play through it and risk missing time in 2025.
