After a two-year break, Dante Scarnecchia is set to return as New England Patriots offensive line coach, according to ESPN's Adam Caplan.
The move had been rumored for weeks. The mutual interest was first reported by ESPN's Mike Reiss.
The Patriots parted ways with Scarnecchia's replacement, Dave DeGuglielmo, following the loss to Denver in the AFC championship game.
Before news of Scarnecchia's impending return was reported, former Patriots tackle Matt Light had this to say during a WAAF interview: "It's amazing how quickly things are forgotten. You take a guy like Dante Scarnecchia, who never let off the pedal for an instant and always drilled into us that it's got to be better and we've got practice this.
