Former Patriots center Dan Koppen has been named the new head coach of the La Salle Academy football program, bringing with him a wealth of experience from both his collegiate and professional careers. A Boston College alum and two-time Super Bowl champion with the Pats, Koppen is eager to instill the leadership, discipline, and work ethic that defined his playing days into the storied Rhode Island high school program.
Koppen, who played at Boston College from 1999 to 2002, was a key figure on the Eagles' offensive line. His standout performance at BC earned him a spot in the 2003 NFL Draft, where he was selected by the Patriots in the fifth round.
