Running back Damien Harris had 477 rushing attempts and 52 receptions during his four seasons at Alabama, and he led the Crimson Tide in rushing yards in each of his final three seasons.
As an NFL rookie, Harris played only five snaps for the New England Patriots in 2019. He was a game-day inactive in all but two of the Patriots’ contests in his first pro campaign.
Of the 25 running backs drafted in 2019, the only three who appeared in fewer games than Harris in their rookie seasons did not play. Stanford’s Bryce Love and Oklahoma’s Rodney Anderson sat out with injuries, and the final running back drafted, Ohio State’s Mike Weber, ended up on the Dallas Cowboys’ practice squad.
