Joe Milton reportedly saw himself as a starting quarterback and didn’t believe he had a legitimate shot to compete against Drake Maye for the QB1 spot on the New England Patriots.
So New England traded Milton to the Dallas Cowboys even though they also have a starting quarterback in Dak Prescott.
While Michael Irvin believes Milton could give Prescott some competition this summer, the longtime Cowboys quarterback doesn’t seem too worried about losing his job.
“Anybody that’s played with me or been in that quarterback room knows that all I care about is everybody pushing everybody and getting better,” Prescott told reporters at the Children’s Cancer Fund Gala in Dallas, per video from Cowboys reporter Joseph Hoyt.
