It's not always smart business to spend considerable resources on big-name wide receivers -- especially if you have a history of not getting the best out of those receivers.
But what if the resources spent weren't considerable?
That could be the case with Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. Early reports suggested the Cardinals could fetch a "Day 2" draft pick (second- or third-rounder) and potentially an additional pick in a trade for Hopkins. The longer Hopkins remains with Arizona, however, the more his price tag drops, and the Boston Sports Journal's Greg Bedard recently reported that the Cardinals could get "much less" for Hopkins than a second-rounder and another pick.
