The strong play of Patriots QB Joe Milton III in Week 18 against the Bills came at a cost.
While the rookie QB dominated on the field (22-of-29, 241 passing yards, two total touchdowns) to help hand New England a win against Buffalo, that meaningless victory also bumped the Patriots out of the No. 1 spot on the 2025 NFL Draft leaderboard, moving them down to No. 4 overall.
Even though New England should still be in prime position to add a blue-chip talent at No. 4, that victory could have cost them a chance to add a prospect like Travis Hunter or Abdul Carter in late April.
