Mathis was released by the Eagles earlier this month after they tried (and failed) to trade him away. Evan Mathis has been in the league for a long time, but he is still one of the best O-lineman in the game. Mathis’ story has been odd ever since Chip Kelly took over the Eagles coaching job. For the past 2 years, Kelly has been openly shopping Mathis to anyone who would take him, even though Evan Mathis has been an anchor for the Eagles’ line for year.
