The Patriots could get another crack at Adam Humphries.
The wide receiver has been released by the Titans, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, after a pair of underwhelming seasons in Tennessee.
Two years ago, New England went after Humphries doggedly in free agency. Ultimately, he inked a four-year, $36 million deal in Tennessee, though NESN’s Doug Kyed reported the Patriots offered him more money per season and a higher guarantee. The Titans wound up cutting Humphries with two years left on the deal.
Still just 27 years old, New England could take another run at the slot receiver.
