The NFL has hosted its awards show the past few years in primetime the night before the Super Bowl and has made a little production of it. But the league has stepped up its host game a notch for this year in Santa Clara prior to Super Bowl 50.
This year's "NFL Honors" host is none other than Conan O'Brien, the NFL announced, and it's a big score for the league. The event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 6 and at at classic venue — the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco.

Nothing against past hosts such as Alec Baldwin and Seth Meyer, but O'Brien raises the bar a little.
