FOXBORO — Bill Belichick was especially chipper yesterday morning, spending nearly a half-hour with the media in his final press conference before the Patriots head to Pittsburgh for tomorrow’s highly anticipated matchup against the Steelers.
Belichick spent a large chunk of that time looking back over his 40-plus years as a coach in the NFL and the respect he holds for legendary coach Chuck Noll and the Steelers organization.
Noll, who died in June 2014 at age 82, guided the Steelers to four Super Bowl titles in the 1970s and won 209 career games as a head coach from 1969-1991.
