NEW ORLEANS -- Undrafted rookie receiver Chris Harper is making a charge, and he has a couple weeks remaining to pull off an improbable accomplishment.
Harper caught six passes for 69 yards, including a 24-yard touchdown, during the Patriots’ 26-24 victory last night against the Saints at the Superdome. He leads the team with 13 receptions for 117 yards and the one score through two preseason games and got some reps tonight with Tom Brady’s starting offense.
And Bill Belichick has referred to Harper as someone who has improved as much as any player since they reported for training camp last month.
