The Los Angeles Chargers signed quarterback Will Grier off the Patriots' practice squad, and New England quickly filled the spot by claiming Nathan Rourke on waivers from Jacksonville on Monday.
It is the first significant move by Chargers interim general manager JoJo Wooden since the team fired Tom Telesco and head coach Brandon Staley last Friday.
The Jaguars are likely to add another quarterback considering Trevor Lawrence began the week in concussion protocol. C.J. Beathard is Jacksonville's only practice-ready quarterback as of the end of business hours Monday.
