Shaun Wade has found a new home. The former New England Patriots cornerback has signed with the Los Angeles Chargers’ practice squad.
Wade was released by the Patriots ahead of last week’s NFL roster cutdown deadline. The 25-year-old had previously spent three seasons in New England, appearing in a combined 20 games with six starts. Along the way, he was credited with 26 total tackles on defense and special teams.
Before joining the Patriots, Wade was a fifth-round selection by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2021 NFL Draft. The Ohio State product did not make it out of his rookie training camp, though, and was instead traded to New England.
