Despite the Miami Dolphins missing the playoffs for the fifth straight season, the team still got some great performances from some of their best players.
Cornerback Xavien Howard had one of his best seasons, and that earned him a nomination to Pro Football Writers of America’s All-AFC team for 2021. Howard shares the AFC team with New England Patriots cornerback J.C. Jackson and was beat out for the All-NFL team by Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs and Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey.
In 2021, Howard finished the year with 50 total tackles, 16 passes defended, five interceptions, two forces fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.
