No one on the Arizona Cardinals defense was happy with the performance against the Seattle Seahawks a week ago, and on Thursday linebacker Kyzir White vowed it wouldn’t happen again.
“We’ll get back to it this week,” he said. “Trust me. They’re not gonna have that many yards. God willing.”
While there was some leakage in the second half of the 30-17 victory over the Patriots, for the most part he was right, thanks to a significant third- and fourth-down stop inside the 5-yard line in the third quarter and an offense that had two fourth-quarter touchdowns to quell any hopes of a Patriots comeback.
