Former Patriots offensive coordinator Charlie Weis joined WEEI’s The Greg Hill Show on Wednesday to discuss the addition of quarterback Cam Newton.
New England signed Newton to a one-year incentive-laden deal that could earn him up to $7.5 million, NFL Network’s Ian Rapaport reported.
Weis was asked how Newton fits into New England’s offense.
“You’re missing a point,” Weis replied. “That’s not the way it works in New England. You figure out what a guy can do and that’s what you do. So it’s not how he fits in. ... What is he good at?
