Through two games, Cam Newton has been playing well above his pay grade.
So, two weeks into the Newton experiment, the question has started to bubble up: Will the New England Patriots give him a raise or an extension?
During an appearance on WEEI’s “The Greg Hill Show,” Newton was asked if he’d be interested in signing a long-term deal with New England.
Right now, it’s not on Newton’s rader.
“You must understand, that is literally the last of my worries," Newton said. "And if we had to put an analogy in it, that is under so much work at my desk that I am not really too much focused on it.
