If healthy, Cam Newton has been one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks.
That’s been a major if since winning MVP in 2015 though.
The 31-year-old quarterback has undergone two surgeries on his throwing shoulder since then, and was held to just two starts last season with a Lisfranc injury on his left foot. He’s taking things slow to start in Foxborough, but on a video conference call Friday, Newton said he’s feeling “amazing” physically.
“Just right now, for me, the season’s not here yet, so I do still have time,” Newton said.
