The Tampa Bay Buccaneers just signed Richard Sherman this week, but he’s getting thrown right into the fire against the New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football. NFL Network’s Ian Rapaport says Sherman will get the start after a strong week of practice.
The Buccaneers are dealing with injuries in the secondary, which is why they went out and picked up Sherman in the first place. The veteran cornerback has apparently picked up Tampa Bay’s defense very quickly, giving him the opportunity to start at cornerback against Mac Jones and Co.
The Patriots’ passing offense with Jones at the helm has been just okay to start the season, so Sherman and the Buccaneers have a good opportunity to be successful.
