Before agreeing to a three-year, $69 million contract with the New England Patriots, veteran wide receiver Stefon Diggs drew at least exploratory interest from the Denver Broncos.
During an appearance on "NFL Live" earlier this week, ESPN's Adam Schefter named-dropped the Broncos among the teams he believed "checked in" on Diggs.
“We saw the Patriots check in with Diggs about a week ago. He traveled to Foxborough, went through a physical, they got a chance to look at him, talk to him about his knee, the ACL he tore Week 8 last year against the Colts," Schefter said on Wednesday (hat tip to Nick Kendell of Mile High Huddle).
