The Patriots were honoring the 2001 team that won the Super Bowl 15 years ago this weekend. That team shocked the Rams in Super Bowl XXXVI for one of the bigger upsets in NFL history. The 2016 version of the Pats and Tom Brady evoked a truly 2001esque performance on Sunday against the Rams to throttle their visitors 26-10 that was far more one-sided than the scoreboard indicated.
The Patriots were balanced on offense and early in the game ran the ball extremely well using a nice combination of LeGarrette Blount and Dion Lewis.
