New England Patriots chairman and CEO Robert Kraft is among generous donors to Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin’s charitable toy drive that has surpassed $6 million, officials said.
And according to the Patriots, Kraft’s donation of $18,003 on behalf of himself and the organization carries some symbolism, with the number 18 standing for “chai” or “life” in Jewish faith, and the number three representing Hamlin’s jersey number.
The 24-year-old Hamlin had to be resuscitated two times after he suffered cardiac arrest and collapsed on the field following a tackle in Monday night’s NFL game between the Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals, according to a relative.
