Every member of the New England Patriots was happy to have Tom Brady back from his four-game suspension on Sunday, and Brady was stellar in his return, throwing for over 400 yards and three touchdowns.
But perhaps no one was happier to see Brady in uniform than tight end Martellus Bennett, who signed with the Patriots in the offseason.
Bennett was on the receiving end of all three of Brady’s touchdown passes, part of his six-catch, 67 yard day.
Not only was his three-touchdown day a career-best, it matched the number of touchdowns Bennett had in 11 games last season in Chicago.
