Bills honor Damar Hamlin with opening kickoff touchdown vs. Patriots as Twitter explodes: ‘This is storybook!’

The Buffalo Bills opened Sunday’s game vs. the New England Patriots by returning the opening kickoff for a touchdown.

The score came six days after Bills safety Damar Hamlin went into cardiac arrest and required CPR.

Hamlin remains hospitalized in Cincinnati, but tweeted he’s watching the game with family. Following the touchdown, Hamlin was, in a word, psyched: “OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!! FREE HINES @TheNyNy7

Bills running back Nyheim Hines went 96 yards for the touchdown.
