The New England Patriots might finally find their quarterback of the future on Thursday night in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Well, unless they trade down from the third-overall pick, that is.
The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reported on Monday that the team is taking calls on their high first-round pick, which might mean New England slides down the board and lets another team draft a quarterback at pick No. 3.
Maybe New England likes one of the second-tier options like Bo Nix or Michael Penix Jr., but we imagine that a trade down would mean punting a major quarterback decision to 2025.
