Despite achieving an impressive win in New Orleans on Sunday, Bill Belichick was far from pleased in the postgame press conference. One subject that drew criticism from the Patriots’ coach was the topic of “communication.”
Belichick explained it by describing how his coordinators handled it:
I thought Matt [Patricia] and Josh [McDaniels] did a real good job on the sideline with the communication issues we had to work through during the game. And that was challenging, but they handled that very well. We didn’t really have, all things considered, too many problems.
When asked multiple follow-ups, Belichick explained that communication was an issue throughout the day.
