Joshua Uche didn’t see the field a ton for the New England Patriots during the first seven games. But that was more due to the situation in New England rather than Uche’s skillset, according to legendary head coach Bill Belichick.
The Patriots allowed opponents to run the ball down their throat and build sizable leads, after all. Uche, a situational pass-rusher, played 35% or more of defensive snaps just twice in seven contests.
The Patriots on Monday traded Uche to the Kansas City Chiefs for a 2026 sixth-round pick, as first reported by NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo.
