Perhaps a factor was that winning the division has become so commonplace, but with the Dolphins losing at a late hour, Belichick did not mark the occasion with any special activities.
In fact, when asked if there was any celebrating going on at his house around 11:30 p.m. Monday after the Dolphins lost, Belichick deadpanned, "No, just a lot of sleeping.
