FOXBOROUGH — After the New England Patriots beat the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL divisional playoffs Saturday, Bill Belichick had a chance to reflect on his relationship with his mentor, Ted Marchibroda.
Marchibroda, who passed away Saturday at age 84, gave Belichick his first job with the Baltimore Colts. Marchibroda coached for 12 years in the NFL, and is credited as an offensive innovator who helped install a version of a no-huddle offense.
