FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick was in a blocking type of mood on Friday.
Two of the notable parts of his morning news conference came when discussing the often-overlooked aspect of blocking for receivers and tight ends.
First, in elaborating on how pleased he's been in this area, Belichick made reference to a different part of football we didn't realize he knew existed.
"It’s all about the stat sheet and fantasy catches or whatever, however that stuff works," he said, after noting that blocking is "really an under-appreciated part of their jobs.
