Bill Belichick: Patriots prioritized a full '60 minutes' vs Jaguars

FOXBORO - After a 51-17 win over the Jaguars on Sunday, Bill Belichick seemed relaxed when he met reporters at the postgame podium at Gillette Stadium.

His team improved to 3-0 in routing Jacksonville in its most dominating performance of the season to date.

Not surprisingly, Belichick was understated in summing up the game.

“It was a good win for us,” Belichick said. “Our team really came out and played well.”

But the coach was still smarting from the Patriots’ second-half breakdowns in last week’s 40-32 win at Buffalo. The lessons learned in that game - when in the postgame locker room Belichick told his team they played a good “50 minutes” - continued to reverberate in the Patriots locker room at halftime, even with New England holding a 20-3 lead.
