Bill Belichick passionately rambles on about contingency plans

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- There are regular reminders over the course of the NFL season as to why Bill Belichick's passion for coaching remains strong at the age of 63.

One of them came Friday morning.

Belichick was going through his normal early-morning news conference before the traditionally light media crowd when he was asked about preparing contingency plans for when injuries hit during a game. The question is topical because the Patriots are thin at offensive tackle and might have to shuffle things around Sunday against the Jets ifSebastian Vollmer or Cameron Fleming is injured during the game.
