With differing scouting reports surfacing about how much newly-signed Reggie Wayne has left in the tank, Bill Belichick said the answer was simple on WEEI this afternoon.
"We'll find out," the coach said. "We'll see how it goes. We've never had him in our system before. Coached him in the Pro Bowl and all that, but we'll just have to see how it goes. I think he's certainly had a great career."
The 36-year-old's versatility made him an attractive free agent for the Patriots, as they have both slot and outside receivers nursing injuries. Belichick explained that as Wayne's career went on in Indianapolis, he was asked to play in a lot of different spots.
