FOXBORO — If you've been doubting the Jets' competitiveness, Bill Belichick doesn't agree.
Some have been surprised by the Jets' 3-2 record to start the year. With journeyman Josh McCown starting at quarterback, and not a whole lot of talent around him, the Jets were projected almost universally in the preseason to finish at or near the bottom of the league.
But as his Patriots head to the Meadowlands this Sunday with a matching 3-2 record, Belichick was asked what he's seen from the Jets, and the coach didn't hold back when listing examples.
"High. Very high," Belichick said of the Jets' compete level.
