FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick, who hadn’t addressed reporters since Wednesday morning, led off his Friday morning news conference by expressing support for the Boston Police Department.
"Before we get into Cincinnati, on behalf of the team, I just wanted to express our appreciation and support for the Boston Police Department with what they’ve been going through the last couple of days -- the injured officers, their families," Belichick said. "I can’t imagine, but I can imagine, the amount of stress that department has to deal with and the challenges every day, and the difficulty of the situation that they’ve been put in.
