Bill Belichick notes Patriots' plan with Steven Jackson's workload

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Veteran running back Steven Jackson will make his New England Patriots debut Sunday against the New York Jets, as he is active five days after signing a one-year deal with the team.

Jackson joins a running back group that includes Brandon Bolden, James White and Joey Iosefa.

"I think we'll get him in there. We'll see how it goes. I wouldn't think it would be a very expanded role, but something to get started on and build on," coach Bill Belichick said during his pre-game interview on 98.
