FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick struck a mix between keeping players mentally sharp but physically rested during the team's playoff bye week.
After Sunday's 20-10 setback in the season finale against the Miami Dolphins, players had Monday off, but were required to report to the stadium on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Of those four days, there were light walk-through practices on Wednesday and Thursday.
Players were initially expecting to practice Friday, but were surprised this morning to have it called off after morning meetings.
