Bill Belichick is happy the Patriots have no more night games

In the past seven weeks, the Patriots have played five primetime games. That means late nights and less preparation time for the next opponent.

While it might not sound like a serious affliction, Patriots coach Bill Belichick recently explained exactly what the consistent string of late kickoffs has cost his team.

Speaking in a weekly interview on WEEI’s “Ordway, Merloni & Fauria,” Belichick elaborated on why he’s happy the primetime run is over.

“It is nice not to play at night, absolutely,” Belichick said. “The night games kill you. They get you the next day, and really it takes you a couple of days to get by them.
