FOXBORO – Dawn was breaking over the expanse of Gillette Stadium while Patriots’ coach Bill Belichick was expounding on the relationship between football fundamentals and creative game planning.
One doesn’t function without the other according to Belichick. The Patriots must have their schemes and basics in working harmony for Sunday’s clash with the Denver Broncos in the AFC title game at Sports Authority Field at Mile High,
“There is a fine line but there is nothing more important than fundamentals,” said Belichick. “No play is good with bad fundamentals, it’s just impossible.
“That being said there are a lot of scheme things that come up over the course of a season and teams keep building.
