Best and Worst from Patriots’ 21-13 victory

WORST WAY TO START: Broncos punt returner Isaiah McKenzie could not corral a punt after the Patriots went three-and-out to start the game, and Jacob Hollister recovered the ball at the Denver 24-yard line.

BEST EARLY STRIKE: Coming off the turnover, quarterback Tom Brady completed consecutive passes to running back Rex Burkhead, the second a 14-yarder for a touchdown, to give the Pats an early 7-0 lead.

BEST TOEING OF THE LINE: Dion Lewis somehow stayed inbounds on a 103-yard kickoff return for a touchdown following a Broncos field goal.

WORST TACKLING: C.J. Anderson ran through the arms of Alan Branch, Kyle Van Noy and several other Patriots defenders on a 21-yard run that helped set up the Broncos’ second field goal.
