Exactly one year ago, quarterback Tom Brady announced the end of his 20-year association with the New England Patriots by tweeting: “My football journey will take place elsewhere.” Three days later, Brady signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, beginning his journey to a seventh Super Bowl victory.
Brady’s departure appeared to leave Jarrett Stidham at the top of the Patriots’ depth chart at quarterback after he’d taken 15 snaps as a rookie from Auburn in the 2019 season.
But another former Auburn quarterback led the New England offense during the 2020 campaign.
