New information released Sunday in an ESPN report suggests that New England Patriots wide receiver Antonio Brown had the opportunity to settle with his accuser, ex-trainer Britney Taylor, out of court for about $2 million. Taylor and her legal team gave Brown until last Sunday night to sign the settlement agreement; when he did not, they proceeded with filing a civil suit against him in a South Florida court last Tuesday.
The civil suit alleges that Brown sexually assaulted Taylor on at least three separate occasions between 2017 and 2018. Brown, through his own legal representation and though his agent Drew Rosenhaus, has repeatedly and categorically denied the rape allegations.
