FOXBORO - Patriots defensive tackle Alan Branch began the bonus phase of NFL career with an abbreviated workout on the practice fields outside Gillette Stadium.
Branch was removed from the physically unable to perform list Monday morning after missing three weeks of training camp with an undisclosed condition.
Branch is entering his 11th NFL season, his fourth with New England and one year beyond his self-imposed limit of pain and punishment. The 6-6, 350-pound, Branch figured he was good for a decade in the NFL after being selected by Arizona in the second round (33 overall) of the 2007 Draft.
