Linebacker Brandon Spikes' second tenure with the Patriots came to a controversial conclusion last week, but it didn't lead him to hock his 2011 AFC Championship ring on eBay.
Spikes' agent, Gary Uberstine, told the Herald today that Spikes' ring was stolen before it was placed on eBay this week. Uberstine said eBay has been notified, and Spikes will file a police report.
The ring sold today for $19,499.
Spikes, who was drafted by the Patriots in the second round in 2010, played four seasons in New England before the Pats decided to part ways with him during the 2014 offseason.
