FOXBORO — Willie McGinest wanted two things at the conclusion of his 15 seasons in the NFL.
McGinest concluded his career with the Cleveland Browns, but he wanted to retire as a Patriot and be enshrined in the team’s Hall of Fame.
No. 55 satisfied both ambitions in a single moment last night outside Patriot Place at Gillette Stadium when he and the late Houston Antwine, a six-time AFL All-Star defensive tackle, became the 23rd and 24th players inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame.
Pats owner Robert Kraft introduced McGinest with a surprise hidden in the pocket of his suit coat.
